Workout Classes

We've got all the classes you need to stay motivated, enjoy your workout time and keep in shape. Want to feel Zen? Try yoga. Want to shake those hips? It's gotta be zumba. Add in LES MILLS™ HIIT sessions, old favs like aerobics and circuits, and loads more fun, super-effective classes - let's do it together at Sugden!

Class Descriptions 


Aerobics
The good old traditional workout to music, no complicated moves, guaranteed to get your heart pumping, burning fat & get you fit.

 

Body Attack
BODYATTACK™ is a high-energy fitness class with moves that cater for total beginners to total addicts. We combine athletic movements like running, lunging and jumping with strength exercises such as push-ups and squats. A LES MILLS™ instructor will pump out energizing tunes and lead you through the workout – challenging your limits in a good way, burning up to 730 calories* and leaving you with a sense of achievement.

 

Body Burst
A medium intensity workout using repetitive routines to concentrate on specific areas such as the thighs and buttocks. Excellent for toning those flabby bits!


Body Conditioning
This combination of aerobics & weights is designed to improve your all round fitness & strength. It is an ideal workout if you exercise regularly.

 

Body Pump
Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP gives you a total body workout. It will burn up to 540 calories*. Instructors will coach you through the scientifically proven moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music – helping you achieve much more than on your own! You’ll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more.


Bums & Tums
This 30 minute class is perfect for focusing on strengthening the key muscles & toning buttocks, thighs & stomachs.


Circuits
The medium/high intensity workout is ideal for developing your all round fitness. Aerobic & Resistance exercises are performed at work stations.

 

Core Conditioning
Use core conditioning to improve your overall athletic performance and life—the flat abs are just a bonus. ... Moreover, developing core muscle strength can boost the effectiveness of workouts and reduce the risk of injuries that sideline our efforts to stay in shape.

Fitness Yoga
Incorporates stretch, strength and yoga postures. Utilising music to sequence moves together this workout will help you increase flexibility and strength all in one workout.

Ki Box Fit
Ki Box Fit combines the use of aerobic and anaerobic energy systems with the systematic recruitment of both slow and fast twitch muscle fibres in a manner that not only ensures a diverse workout but also enhances sport specific senses, including hand-eye co-ordination, balance and timing. This fitness class involves Boxing and Kick Boxing techniques but without the contact! The classes are always fun, energetic and varied, making this an addictive class so you won’t get bored! 

Kick Aerobics
Combines moves and stances developed from a range of self defence disciplines including Karate, Kickboxing, Thai Chi and Tae Kwon Do. This will have you fighting fit in no time.

Kinisi Flow
Kinisi Flow is a body weight training system which maximizes the movement potential of the human body. This dynamic new way to train will effectively retrain your body to reclaim its natural ability to move with elegance, strength, power & speed. This class is geared towards improving mobility, building strength and flexibility through a focus on flow movement.

Strong by Zumba
STRONG by Zumba™ is a high intensity interval training workout driven by the science of Synced Music Motivation. ... STRONG by Zumba™ is a High Intensity Interval Training class using more traditional fitness moves for a more athletic, conditioning-style workout.

Yoga

Vinyasa - a dynamic vinyasa flow class, and is suitable for beginners and intermediate. You will get from this a workout and also a connection to their breath and self.

Iyenger– Focus on improving flexibility, strength & sensitivity in mind, body & spirit to help you feel calmer, more energised & alert.

Ashtanga – this powerful, healing practice is a specific sequence of postures linking breath and movement. Ashtanga is an athletic flow combining strength, flexibility and stamina for a complete practice.

Zumba
The infectious rhythms & simplified dance patterns of Zumba combine the dance styles of salsa, mambo, samba, bhangra, belly dance, flamenco, reggaeton, rhumba, calypso & Hip Hop creating the ultimate body conditioning & fat burning session.

Gym Floor classes

Beginner’s squats and Deadlifts
Learn great technique, move away from machines and utilise the free weights. Great body sculpting exercises and ultimate strength building.

HITT
High Intensity Interval Training. Less time, better goal setting and more calories burned than your average workout. Like your exercise and want to lose fat whilst improving your cardiovascular system.  This is the one for you. Great time saver in a busy life schedule.

Introduction to Free Weights
Leave those machines behind. Let your anatomical structure control the movements. Free weights will give you more functional strength whilst engaging your stabilizing muscles. Feel strong!
